I am so proud to be part of LEGALnudge. For the past eight years I have worked in family law and witnessed the need for a service that was transparent, accessible and most importantly, affordable. The idea of consumer-driven legal services is one that I can get behind. Why should clients be left in the dark about how much legal services will cost them? As attorneys, we need to provide options and allow our clients some control over their legal costs. My approach to family law is to achieve the best result possible at the lowest cost to my clients. There is often a solution that can be achieved that is more cost-efficient and that leaves clients feeling satisfied with the legal process and the end result for their family. A time of transition is hard enough without wondering whether you are going to be able to afford effective legal representation.
Eight years ago, Allison began her legal career spending a few years as a judicial law clerk in Washington County. Part of the vision for LEGALnudge started while Allison was clerking. During her clerkship, she was frustrated by the lack of affordable options for family law litigants who often ended up representing themselves. Prior to joining with Jenna Westby to form LEGALnudge, Allison had a solo practice law firm focusing on family law matters. Allison is a graduate of William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, cum laude, and was in the top 15% of her class. She also attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa where she graduated cum laude with a B.A. in International Relations. Allison’s mission, and that of LEGALnudge, is to provide greater access to legal services. Allison enjoys exploring and experiencing all the Twin Cities has to offer as well as running, playing soccer and spending time with her family and friends.
